Effective 1st January 2022 the Cook Islands High Court and Court of Appeal will be using new court seals.
Secretary of Justice, Tamatoa Jonassen, stated “pursuant to the Judicature Act the Minister of Justice, Honourable Mac Mokoroa has authorized the use of new court seals to replace the old ones.”

The new court seals will now use the Cook Islands coat of arms instead of the New Zealand coat of arms within the stamped impression of the court seal. “Our Judiciary is supportive of this change, and it is about time our court seals were updated,” says Mr. Jonassen.
