Senior Land Court Clerk: Salary Band H, $33,220-$49,628

This role in the Land Court Team reports directly to the Deputy Registrar-Land Court, and will lead and manage a small team of Land Court Clerks, ensuring all Land Court Applications and Records processed are to the required standard.  We are looking for a person passionate about providing quality customer service with prior management experience.  Someone who is an active listener with excellent oral and written communication skills, (preferably) in Maori and English, pays attention to detail, has the ability to problem solve, and has office administration and Microsoft office skills.  A Professional who is accountable, Respectful, Cheerful, Approachable, Understanding, and Responsive is essential. Judges Associate – Salary Band G, Range: $28,515 – $42,599  

The Judges’ Associate role in the Stenography Services Team is primarily responsible for providing office administration management and secretarial support for the Judge.  You will also be required to assist the Stenography Services Team during court trials. 

This position is suitable for someone who enjoys working on his/her own, is reliable, prompt, flexible, and trustworthy.  Someone with strong attention to detail, and great typing skills with high level of accuracy and speed, has a good level of spoken and written English and/or Reo Maori, grammar, spelling, and punctuation, and able to work unsupervised.  You must be able to maintain confidentiality, be respectful, reliable, responsible and confident to ask clarifying questions. Download Job Description

Stenographer: Salary Band F, Range: $24,476 – $36,565

The Stenographer role is in the Stenography Services Team.  As a stenographer, you will be required to transcribe spoken words at legal proceedings such as hearings, trials and other legal procedures, and you will be required to keep detailed notes and records or court hearings and tribunals.  One of the key requirements of this role is the ability to work alone with your earphones on, typing from recordings or in real time live court.  To do this, you must be able to work alone and unsupervised, be organized and reliable and have good hearing, listening, and proof reading skills with excellent typing speeding and high level of accuracy. The Bailiff and Court Orderly role in the Criminal & Civil Court Team is required to maintain an orderly Court and provide Courtroom security. This role requires someone who is courteous and respectful.  Someone who has strong people skills, physical strength and skills to effectively and calmly deal with people in stressful or unstable situations.  Someone who can speak clearly in Maori and English, and is focused with strong attention to detail.  This role is also responsible for collecting fines and reparations so some financial knowledge and experience is necessary.  You must be able to maintain confidentiality, be respectful, reliable and responsible. Cleaning and Maintenance Technician – Salary Band D, Range: $20,032 – $26,553  

First impressions matter and, a clean and well-organised work place leaves a lasting impression on our customers, public and our employees.  In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the standard of cleanliness, hygiene and safety of our office.  Attention to detail is important to identify areas that need cleaning, along with Time Management to ensure jobs are completed on time.  Office cleaning can be physically demanding so physical fitness is necessary, and prior office cleaning experience is an advantage.   Although you will be working mostly on your own, you will be closely with the Facilities Manager for work planning purposes.  You must be someone who is Respectful, Honest, Cheerful, Approachable, and Responsible.
